With construction soon to start, I understand that the press is to be put together with dowel and glue, to avoid the weakness of tenon joints.  Maurice has taken inspiration from Barnes Wallis and his Wellington bomber designs.  So so far we have a steam engine piston and a bomber construction.  It sound great doesn't it?
